Returns

No item shall be returned to Montek Electronics without a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number.  An RMA number must be obtained by sending an email to . The email should detail your reason for returning the item.

Items that are fully functional and in original resale condition can be returned for a refund less shipping costs within 14 days of purchase.

Items which develop a fault under warranty can be returned, freight prepaid for repair or replacement.  Montek will ship the repaired or replaced item freight prepaid back to you.  See our warranty policy below to determine if your item is covered under warranty.

Electronic Kit Returns

Unopened kits may be returned for refund of the total less the shipping cost.

Kits damaged in transit may be returned for exchange with an identical kit.

Kits that have been partially or fully assembled cannot be returned for refund or exchange.

If a kit has been assembled, but the kit does not function, the assembled kit can be returned to Montek Electronics for repair.  The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges to and from Montek Electronics.  The buyer should try to determine the cause of the failure and attempt repair before returning the kit to Montek Electronics.  You can receive help with determining the cause of failure by contacting .

All kit designs have been fully tested, and should be fully operational once assembled.

Warranty

Warranty coverage varies depending on the item.  Below is our general warranty policy, and more specific coverage periods for categories of items.

All products sold by Montek Electronics are warranted to be free of defect in workmanship and materials for a specified period of time as listed below. Should a product require repairs within this time, obtain an RMA number and return the unit to Montek Electronics freight prepaid with a copy of the invoice and a detailed description of the fault. Montek will repair or at its option replace products that prove to be defective and return freight prepaid. The warranty is void if the product has been tampered with or misused. (If returning battery operated products please ensure the fault is not a weak battery).
