The Quattro-PCI's strength lies in its Moko S-1 ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit). This chip-only available on Lava products-consolidates a number of separate components into one chip. This adds efficiency in manufacture, and more importantly, virtually eliminates any possibility of component failure-another reason Lava confidently offers the Lava Lifetime Warranty. The Quattro-PCI is widely used for connecting various high-speed consumer peripherals to a PC. The board is also used in various industrial applications, point-of-sale systems, etc. Includes Lava Com Port Redirect Utility for renaming COM Ports. Allows for backward compatibility with software that supports COM 1-4 only.
