This digital color organ has two modes of operation: "Musical" and "Automatic". In "Musical" mode, the channels illuminate according to the frequency of the audio input signal. In "Automatic" mode, the channels automatically illuminate with different timing interval for each channel.
This digital color organ works by converting sound into digital pulses which drive a counter circuit. The counter circuit then turns the lights on and off in a pseudo-random pattern, based on the beat of the music. The rate at which the on/off pattern changes depends on the beat rate of the music and the adjustment of the potentiometer. Four LED indicators on the circuit board show the flash sequence.
While an analog color organ varies the brightness of the lights, the digital colour organ turns the lights on or off in a pattern driven by the music..
The digital color organ requires a supply voltage of 12V AC C.T., 200mA. See related products below for a suitable transformer.
